| MENTMORE AKC REGIRSTATION PAPERS NAMING REQUIREMENTS Our "L" Litter. Puppies AKC registered names must start with the letter "L". may use the call name of your choice, this is for AKC registration purposes only and a requirement for all Mentmore puppies. We are keeping puppies from the "N" ESS litter & the "L" CKCS litter. We make our pick at 8 weeks of age. The other puppies will be available then. We reserved this right as we are wanting show prospects and proper evaluations can not be made until that age, no matter who you are. People with experience within the "dog world" know this, inexperienced people will tell you otherwise and try to justify their reasoning. So when looking at a show potential puppy, please remember that markings alone does not make a show dog. Other key elements are AKC conformation, temperament and type. Conformation includes the way the dog is put together from head to tail. This includes shoulder placement, top line, movement and an overall balanced look. This is what makes a pretty package.
